Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder – Photoshoot For First Choice Detailing

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder is our latest installment for FCD as part of our ongoing project “The Art of Detailing”. In this project we focus on one car, showing it flawlessly. These images are used for marketing and building awareness. Granted they don’t show the “detailing” aspect off too well, but they do help create an emotive feeling and for marketing that is what you want. The viewer to create a connection to you and your brand.

With these images a photography technique called light painting is used. The images are taken in a working environment and due to the nature of the cars, they can’t be taken to a location. This makes our only option to be able to work after hours. Light painting uses a long camera exposure to give the photographer a chance to use light to paint the object. This method allows for full control of the light and produces unique images.

For this photoshoot we were provided with one of our all-time favourite brands, Lamborghini, the raging bull! On a Thursday night, after hours our team photographed the Huracan in 3 hours with 4 hours editing. This produced a 6-image set which shows off the depth of the paint and highlights the accents of the car perfectly.

On set we used a single portable light, camera and tripod. This allows for easy movement in tight spaces and generally keep the set tidier. Each image is comprised of 3-5 light passes which cover the body work, lights, interior, wheels and spoilers. In editing we will combine these images to make the result you see here.

FCD will now use these images in their marketing campaigns to show off their work with pride and of course, provide the customer with a lovely keepsake.
